“Praise God for unanswered prayers”- Garth Brooks
I mentioned this quote in a recent letter. It’s been over a year since the property on Graham was sold and NOT to Crossroads. We had a beautiful architectural drawing made up along with having three conversations with a local code office and their full board. At the same time, we asked God to deny us the purchase of the property if it wasn’t in his plans. We planned on sharing the space with other faith-based groups, but God has been directing us to find a building that is on a much larger scale.
Recently we have been talking with a couple other groups that are thinking along the same line as Crossroads. I can not give any specific details right now; however, there is a location for sale less than a mile from Cornell and in the center of Ithaca. Pray with us we all seek God’s will in moving forward. We are thankful that God kept us from purchasing property that was not meant to be.
For the past forty-five years, I have used a truck or van in our projects in Kobe and Karuizawa Japan and for the past twenty-seven years in Ithaca. Recently I have been borrowing the Carriage House Café truck, but with increased use of it for Crossroads I believe it is not a correct business practice.
A need for Crossroads right now is a Toyota Tacoma 4×4 size truck with low mileage. Unlike other parts of the country, a 4×4 is a necessity in the winter months, especially with the steep hills in and around Ithaca.
Living an Intentional life
In the Magnolia issue for this Spring, Joanna Gaines writes in the last paragraph of her Letter from the Editor- And, above all, that you take comfort in knowing that it’s often the small, consistent actions that make the most impact as we pursue intentional living.
That purpose in one’s life reminded me of a passage I was once again encouraged by last week found in Ephesians 2:10 – “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
Thank you so much for your support.
